I don’t know where this stuff is coming from, but I woke up this morning to find that three of you had sent me another classified document. This one’s a little harder to make sense of than the transcript I received earlier this week:

(view as PDF)

It’s a leaked military doc, highly confidential. Some of the words are coded/covered up, but it looks like an internal report about some thwarted bioterrorism attack that took place near Houston a couple years ago.

Whatever happened, it sounds like this would have turned into a catastrophic event if it weren’t for “Major W. Keene.” (Another name that means nothing to me.) What I can’t figure out is how this relates to Piedmont. Did something get into the water?

I can’t let myself believe that this is real. I can’t. I won’t.

A source who said I should refer to him as Wheezer passed along this video through email. He claims he intercepted it from a secure digital feed coming out of a military command center in Colorado Springs.

If you’re easily upset or spooked, you probably shouldn’t watch this.

I don’t know what to think, or what this means, but I know for a fact that that’s Piedmont in the footage. I recognize the post office, the building to the right after they turn the corner. And if those really are dead bodies, they’re people I know. They’re all people I know, and I can’t even tell who they are.

I’m forcing myself to believe that none of those people are my family…
But they have to be someone’s family. This can’t be real. It can’t be.

Maybe they’re just unconscious, or sick.

They can’t all be dead. That’s too many bodies.

Wheezer’s email says that he got cut off halfway through getting the footage. He says there was more, and promised that he’d send it as soon as he could get it, and get back to a safe location.

But if there is more, I don’t think I want to see it.

I wrote a letter to Nash telling him I had information that might help with his investigation. I’m guessing he gets at least a hundred tips a day, though, so I’m not sure I expect to hear back from him.

Didn’t know what else to do, so I did some searching on military operations in Utah after seeing Nash’s interview. None of their current missions seem out of the ordinary, and there’s no mention of a chemical incident.

It seems like most of their operations are federal, based in Iraq or Afghanistan. Though what’s interesting is…last October they underwent a training exercise with the health department for handling a “large-scale flu pandemic” near Montezuma Creek. But as far as I can tell, that didn’t involve positioning a lot of armed troops outside a low population town in the middle of nowhere.

The only other report in Utah that I found involved three Apache helicopters doing a fly-over during a college football game last fall.

What I can’t figure out is why the government would have them surround Piedmont under false pretenses. It doesn’t make any sense.

Like I said, I missed the first few seconds of the interview. But here’s most of the clip that ran on the NNT Morning News a few hours ago, as promised:

This is insane.

Insane.

Now I’m almost certain that something is going on. Jack Nash – who I’ve admired ever since he visited Berkeley to lecture about his work as an investigative journalist – filed a report last night from Salt Lake City, where more troops are preparing to go down and extend a barricade “at an unspecified location in southeastern Utah,” as part of a “routine training exercise.”

This is supposed to be a training exercise? I don’t know much about the National Guard, but I’ve never heard of anything like this – and from his reaction during the broadcast, I’m betting Nash hasn’t either. There’s no way this is just a routine exercise. I guess it’s good that Nash is looking into it, because he’ll have a lot more resources and access than I do. On the other hand, if it’s important enough to warrant Nash’s interest, it makes me even more scared that this is something huge.

It’s been over a week now. I’ve got to figure this out before I go insane.

Oh man. I don’t know if anyone else just caught the report on NNT Morning News, but there was just a story that has to be related to all of this – by Jack Nash, no less. Now I’m sure there’s something going on, and it looks like Nash is too.

I started recording it a few seconds in. I’m calling a friend now to see if she can help me digitize it, so that I can post it here for the rest of you. More soon.
