← Nash Gets The Truth

Late last night, I finally heard back from Dr. Stone, who sent the following message;

Andrew –

I’ve been reading your blog, and words cannot express my sympathies. There is nothing I can say that will ease your sense of loss. I cannot turn back time or bring your family back to you. All I can say is that Kyle Tobler is as healthy as can be expected for a man of his age, and in his circumstances. He’ll be fine, and he is eager to see you. As soon as things settle down a bit more, we’ll see that you are taken to see him. Despite your losses, you still have a relative. Whatever happens next, you are not alone.

If I could make one request of you, it would be that you leave your story online for the rest of the world to see. It is an invaluable record of what has happened, and a necessary warning for future generations. We must work to make sure that what happened in Piedmont never happens again.

Please accept my condolences. I wish we could have done more.

With Warmest Regards,
Dr. Jeremy Stone

I’ve thought about what he said, and I’ve decided that he is right. Nash may have gotten the facts about Andromeda, but I don’t think he got the whole story.

He never knew my parents, or the Ritters, or any of the other families who lived and worked in Piedmont. I did, and this is their story as much as anyone’s. For what it’s worth, I want this site to remain as a sort of marker, a memorial to honor all of Andromeda’s victims. But for my part, I have nothing left to say.

This is going to be the last time that I write on this site.

If you want to leave your final thoughts in the comments, it would mean a lot to me. And to everyone who has visited since I began writing: thank you.

  3. Dear Andrew.
I am truley sorry for your losses. I may have never sent something like this before but, you deserve to have known more about Andromeda earlier. Like an old saying, “Man is often his worst enemy”. This will teach us all a lesson, you such a young person don’t deserve this. I speak for all of us on this, I hope no one has to go through this again.

The E.T.D. could use you. (Extra Terrestrial Disease)

All the best, the best of luck and our blessings are truley with you.

    Sincerely, Mason

    Goodbye Andrew, and good luck

  5. Wow I have no clue what I am gong to do now. I’ve been spending all my time waiting for another blog to come up and see what it says.
This was a great blog, and the coolest one I have ever read. You have set a high standard for the next person who wants to write a mind blowing blog. Thank you for creating this.

  7. The grief you are feelings is probably beyond our comprehension. Hope every thing works out for you. Andromeda or similar threats may still be out there. We must prepare for it.

  8. >< omg I can’t believe its ended like that! This Blog has been utterly mind blowing….. U have diffidently changed my opinion of the world and society around me. I like Feh’s way of putting it “I came here a skeptic and left with a clearer view of the world.”
I gotta say guys, its been weird
    Wonder whats on tv tonight….

  9. First of all I’m so sorry for your loss I can’t even begin to imagine how it must feel so I won’t even try. I personally think that not only is Dr.Stone’s idea an excellent one, it should be taken a step further. I personally think that you should try and convince Nash to cover this blog and make the story of a person born and raised in Piedmont, trying to find out what happened to his family and friends, and unveiling one of the largest finds of human history in the process is a tale on par if not greater than that of Dr.Stone and his team. If you ever read this blog again…just give it some thought. Once again I’m so sorry for your loss and I hope and pray that nothing like this ever happens again.

  10. I’m Glad its all over. Mankind very well was on the brink of extinction for something that we did. This proves that we create our futures, and that we have to do everything in our power to better them so that our children and our children’s children can live good happy lives. What is in store for us now, who knows. But the better we prepare ourself now the better we will be tomorrow.
And as for you Andrew my deepest sympathies for your losses. This was a tragic event that should not have happened. I believe though you may be in pain because of you losses, this will make you stronger as a person. My only hope is that you are able to live your life with the good memories of your family. For as long as you have them you will be ok.
And also Andrew I am deeply sorry that I was not able to get back to with information that I had promised a week or so back. I had some problems and was not able to get internet access where I was. Keep strong Andrew and good luck to you.
    Sincerely,
    Justin Montani

  11. have read this website from the beginning and not believing what was going on. I just couldn’t believe that something like this could happen. But it did and it makes it really plain that it could happen again. I just hope that we have learned from this mistake in order to be more cautious in the future.

Take care Andrew and I wish the best for you and your uncle. I hope that Baby Sylvie is doing well and has some other family elsewhere that she can be safe with. I am glad that Danni was able to retrieve some of your family photos for you. They will become your most valued treasure to hold onto.

  12. First Id like to offer my condolences. I am greatly sorry for you lose. Your in my prayers Andrew. I hope you can take this as a blessing (your uncle I mean) and continue your life the best you can. Don’t let this end your life to. It’s taken to many wonderful people as it is. I just have one question. What’s going to happen with the Ritter baby? Anyways, good luck in your journey onwards. I know your strong enough to live through this.

    With love and remorse

  13. I noticed that no one has told you about a password to get into the intranet. I stumbled upon one last password that might be kinda interesting. Go to the Wildfire Intranet and enter Bacillus Infernus. It unlocks a downloadable file of some kind of bacteria.

  14. Andrew,

Now that things are over, I’m sending you a package. I probably shouldn’t have this, but eh, I don’t care. And yes, it’s perfectly safe. The blast that you heard about did not eradicate Piedmont. It got a portion of it in the blast wave, but most of the city still stands. Or it did at least. The government is quietly burying everything that remains as part of a nuclear clean up. Radiation and what not. However, I pulled some strings and managed to get a little search done for you.

In the next few days, expect to get a nice package sent to you. Probably may have to pay post, but it should be worth it. Find included in it, cleaned and sanitized, your family’s pictures. It’s the best I could do, and while they’re scorched around the outside from the heat. (thank your mother for having a good fire safe) They should be alright.

Looking back, I’m ashamed that I couldn’t tell you more. I was tied to Wildfire more than I’d like to admit. I knew a great deal of what happened, how it happened, and when; but I was under orders to plant you red herrings. To pull you away from the truth by giving you snippits of other truths. I’ll have to answer for that someday, but for now enjoy the photos.

Also, if you’re ever in London, I’ll have a job waiting for you. We could use you Andrew. The SIS has plenty of openings for guys like you. Just look me up.

    Danielle Elizabeth Stephens.

    Aka:

    Danni.

  16. I’m sorry Piedmont - your family, friends, all of it - is gone. I’m sorry they died because they had the poor luck to encounter something mindless, motiveless, and unpredictable as “Andromeda”.

I hope we as a species can learn something from their loss. I hope we don’t forget too soon how this happened, and that it could happen again.

I hope that if “Andromeda” or its like visits us again, the citizens of Piedmont have taught us how to meet it on equal terms.

There’s really nothing more I can say.

  18. Andrew, I think Dr. Stone’s idea is a good one. Moving on while leaving this site up will benefit both you and those looking for the truth. It will also serve as a reminder as to what happened and what the future could hold if we are not careful.

As I said in a previous post, I thank you for your efforts here as well as the efforts of others. Your work certainly opened my eyes and gave me much food for thought. I came here a skeptic and left with a clearer view of the world.

Make the most of your life, do your best to enjoy the world we have been left thanks to the work of those at Wildfire and by all means, move on. There is no harm in that as long as those who are looking for the information you have posted here are able to find it.

Please convey our thanks to Dr. Stone and all those who worked to keep us safe.

Let us all pray no one is ever faced with such circumstances again. And let us pray that those who put us in harms way see the error of their actions and stop before it is too late.

  21. Andrew, Im sorry for everything that you’ve been through. At least you have one relative to lean on in times of need.I’m glad you now know the truth. Stay strong and good luck with everything in your life. This blog may become a insight for future dwellers.

  22. I am sorry about your family. But this a warning we cannot ignore. Hopefully we will heed it and this it never happens again.

    All the best Andrew!!!

  23. Well, at least you now know what happened, as do the rest of us. I just fear that my friend “Punk” has been lost, a sacrifice, if you will. I haven’t heard from him since I called on him over a week ago. Just as Remi said, I, too, have downloaded everything that we have come across during this whole tirade…just in case, you know. But at any rate, man, life is too short. You can’t spend too much time focusing on the past, or stuff you doun’t have, because then you’ll miss out on the future, and neglect the things that you do have. You know? Everything you need is right here in front of, no matter what happens in the future, just remember that. Word up?

  24. Hopefully nothing like this happens ever again. That’s all I have to say.

  25. Hey man, Im sorry about for family….least you still have your uncle, after all that has happened that must count for something. I have downloaded all data I could find about this whole incident so if anything happens the truth will still be here.

Best of luck to you and your Uncle.
