What the hell?! →← The End of Days?

Figured out another access code. Since realiTbendr’s comment yesterday - that OMH calculations refer to something called the Odd Man Hypothesis - I’ve been trying to figure out anagrams that might unlock more information about it.

Just got it:

OH DAMP DISHONESTY

Still reading through it, but it looks like several of you were right: the Odd Man Hypothesis is the result of a series of tests conducted to determine which member of the Wildfire team is best prepared to make difficult decisions under pressure. It’s hard to summarize, though… enter the code at the Wildfire Intranet and take a look at the full document for yourselves.

Also, a reader using the name of “Yuvar” sent me an email last night with another access code: DEMON PIT, which is an distressing but valid anagram for Piedmont, and which unlocks the video from the gas station which Wheezer already passed along. Seems like this might be where he was finding a lot of his information.

  1. Ha ha.
    Andromeda.
Clearly none of you have figured it out yet.

  2. I googled where “Danni” claims she works. That address happens to be the home of the British MI6, or Secret Intelligence Service. It’s the British foreign intelligence service. Which if that’s the case, it makes me wonder if wheezer and the others feeding this site information are who they say they are. Brings into question how much she really knows, and how much of it is lies. She even seems to hint that much of it may be just that Andrew. After all she says she “strung you along”…

  3. This is insane. This is two skips and a hop away from determining who would make the best candidate for souless brainwashed killing machines. I want to know how to get my hands on these tests. I’d personally like to know what the determining factors are

  4. does no one else think it’s kind of odd that whoever’s controlling the intranet hasn’t noticed the explosion of traffic it now must be receiving?

  5. Now that you’re so close to the truth Andrew, besides, my government assures me that your military has the situation well in hand. Therefore there’s no harm in me telling what I know. This information is not classified, and can be gained by a simple internet search should you be inclined to do so.

The OMH, or odd man hypothesis, dates back to the cold war and its time of secrets, spies, and counter terrorism. Basically it means that all secret underground testing facilities have a “fail safe” located within them. This fail safe is designed to “neutralize” the location, as well as persons within it, ensuring no leak of biological or radioactive substances. In this case the fail safe is a one kiloton nuclear bomb. The hypothesis is, that the odd man in such cases would be chosen, given orders to (If need be) arm and detonate the bomb, destroying the biological agent as well as anyone and anything within the bunker itself. The Hypothesis is, that a person with no ties to the outside world, IE: No family or relatives, would not hesitate to press the button and detonate the device.

I’m sorry to have strung you along for so long Andrew, to be honest it was nothing personal, just business. I didn’t mean to hurt you if I did, and, well should you come through this fine, look me up.

I work at 85 Albert Embankment, Vauxhall Cross in London.

I imagine some of the readers here will be able to tell you more. If not, I suggest you google that.

    Danni.
