Wheezer's Message Decoded →← Wheezer's Final Transmission (?)

No major leads yet on the three scientists Stone named for his top-secret team. Everything I’ve been able to find seems to point in the same direction: all three went missing around the same time Stone did. As well as I can figure, that must mean that his plan for addressing major bio-threats was put into effect within 24 hours of whatever happened in Piedmont.

There are the only tangible things I’ve found so far… First this, in 1998:

And then this, four years later, in 2002:

Not sure if that really tells me anything. She’s apparently a famous pathologist, though I don’t know what makes a pathologist different from an immunologist, or an epidemiologist, or any other specialized scientist for that matter. Whatever she does, it looks like she’s pretty good at it: major positions at both the CDC and in San Francisco.

If I can find more, I’ll post it.

In the meantime, does anyone have anything else on Noyce or Chou, or theories on why Stone might have requested these particular scientists for his team?

Also, a few readers have made some progress in deciphering the hidden message from Wheezer’s audio file… with luck, I’ll know exactly what he said soon.

Comments on “Tracking Dr. Barton”

  1. I’ve had a contact of mine relay a message that Nash may be being questioned by a one Colonel Ferrus (?) in relation to being on the headquarters outpost outside of Piedmont. What he is doing there and why he is being questioned is still a mystery. I will get back to you as soon as my contact calls me again.

  2. Looks like this lady can help you, if she’s allowed to. Like I said in my other email, I’ve never heard the term “wildfire” mentioned in connection with disease in a good way.

Please keep us posted because this is looking more and more like this could be a nation wide problem not just a tragedy for Piedmont.

You need to be strong, Andrew. Because I think you may have to be, for us all.

  3. So, wheezer knew about Wildfire? That can’t be good. Dr. Barton is a good woman, and if you can get in touch with her then I’d say she could help you out greatly Andrew. I’ve worked with her in the past, and I can honestly say that she’s a straight arrow.

Wildfire is a nasty thing Andrew. Really nasty. I can’t go into a ton of detail about it since well it’s mostly classified, but I can tell you this much. If they’re looking at Wildfire, then whatever happened in your home town is something not to be trifled with. I’ll see if I can send you anything on it when I get home. I’ve got a file or two that I think may help out. If anything it’ll let you know what to expect.

I’m about to catch a flight out to my connection, I’m in the airport as I write this. I’ll see if I can send you what I know about Wildfire when I get home.

    Danni.
