Alive! →← Losing It

Sorry if I scared anyone yesterday… that last video was just hard to deal with.

I’m forcing myself not to think about it anymore.

To avoid obsessing, I spent this morning following Wheezer and Danielle’s suggestions about looking into Mancheck’s connection with Iraq… and with a little bit of persistence, was able to find one additional article about the elusive General:

Mancheck obviously has a great deal of power within the military, but it has been difficult to find out much more than that. I guess this establishes that he was promoted sometime between April 1993 (when this article ran), and June 2004, when the previous article was published… but I’m not sure if there’s any significance in that.

Apparently before he started covering up the events in Piedmont, he was a major force in Desert Storm. Back then he was just affiliated with the DoD. I wonder when he shifted his attention to biological defense.

  1. is it just me? or does ‘whezzer’ sound like one of the handles used in ‘Hackers’ the movie?
Surprised Linux, do you think ‘anonymous’ could be whezzer? or in association with whezzer? He must be teh 1337 hacker, or something. I don’t even recognize his code! must be top secret…. it looks like a bunch of random typing to me, so it must be super hype stuff!!!!
Looking at the pictures of mancheck, I personally think maybe he is some sort of alien in disguise. Look at his eyes! they are popping out of his head! And what military official smiles to the press? Maybe thats what whezzers trying to warn us?

  2. Hey ive been following the posts and trying to piece things together. If anyone could tell me how to decode wheezer’s second message. cypher2k@hotmail.com All the pieces are disturbing and the theories all have some form of validity though zombies not so sure unless its like the incident in england that happened a couple years ago with a viral outbreak.

  3. Well, maybe wh33zer isn’t the only one that likes using code. Personally, I think ‘zombies’ are one of the more likely explanations in this. Even the General’s self-decapitation would serve as an explanation. However, I’d like to see those emails, if you wouldn’t mind; maybe I can figure out what they mean. Contact me at aaronwf@hotmail.com and I’ll see what I can do.

  4. I recently received an email from an anonymous address (anonymous.3290@anonymoustalk.com or some crap like that) after I made a blog post regarding chemical spills. The email insulted my “ability to comprehend the power of chemicals” and mentioned Mancheck and Piedmont. I replied angrily, saying that zombies did not exist, etc. He replied with what looked like he thumped the keyboard. In the chaos, a few words can be recognized, such as “T3h C0mp4ny.” One section, however, was clear. It was about a sentence long, telling me to “…p9ne h check the md5 sum, it should be 9d71760e2dd451db2df354d0fd29cd7f. If it’s not, they’ve intercepte ;4ot…”

I noticed that there was an attachment, titled “0001.txt.” I downloaded it, and checked the md5 sum. It was c9129cadebfee8592eaaabe89db24e51. It didn’t match. Then I did something really stupid: I opened the document, and it contained the following:

    “Explicit.”

Just that word. I’m sort of paranoid now. If anyone can offer advice I would be very grateful. I am using an anonymous email for security now.

  5. I did not mention that ALL diseases have a cure. I did say ‘researched or not’ meaning through continued research there will be one

  6. Aaron, that information is actually classified, so he can’t really tell you here. However, I’ll be able to notify you through email. (I hope this doesn’t get me busted my any military personel monitoring the site.)

Jon, you do have a point. People have made the point before that Piedmont is the perfect test area: out in the middle of nowhere; not very many people in town; etc. However, for one thing, some of the men here are surprised when seeing the results of the disease. Also, The army would have had the disease for fifteen years if this is the case, and if a cure were available, it would be found by now. Then again, some diseases don’t have such cures, like HIV, and they’ve been around and have been researched longer than that.

  7. Oddman, can you give me some sort of clarification on the incident you mentioned?

Aaron on May 2nd, 2008 at 7:30 pm
  8. agreed, if it is biological, then its likely there is a cure, researched or not, if you put it logically, is there any disease out there that cant be counter-acted? like venom and anti venom? maybe the military is just trying to figure what their facing to properly counteract it

Jonathan on May 2nd, 2008 at 7:30 pm
  9. Yes, but only until such a point as the cure is procured. I’m just saying that trying to dig up EVERYTHING about Mr. Mancheck doesn’t sound too helpful right now.

I like Aaron’s suggestion, however, that there might be a connection between the two ‘Generals’. Maybe there can be a bit more research put into that instead.

  10. Very true, Elrond, but what if the people responsible already have a cure? Then going after them would be the best case.

  11. He seemed older than Persian Gulf to me, but the military connection is still a bit tantalizing in a macabre way. And I guess Andrew is the only person around here that can answer that question correctly. However, I think there should be more of a focus on what the hell this disease is; it doesn’t seem like anything ever seen before, and should probably take priority over the people who made it. A method of avoidance (and a possible cure) is paramount over prosecution of those responsible. If we don’t survive, then we won’t have a chance to serve justice, will we?

  12. Regarding Kris’s claim that a bioagent factory would be seized rather than destroyed; what if this factory (or even just housing) had a ‘leak’ or some other disaster? Maybe it was too dangerous to be kept active.

On the other hand, perhaps they may have harnessed the disease for their own purposes, and it somehow got let loose in Piedmont. Andrew, you said that your friend from the last video was a veteran. What war was he a veteran of? The first Persian Gulf? If so, that might be the reason why he did what he did; maybe he shares some sort of responsibility for this event, or knows what’s coming and wants a somewhat ‘better’ death - if that term can be applied to this situation - than the chaos around him.

Aaron on May 2nd, 2008 at 4:01 pm
  13. I have to say, that video was disturbing.. but enough on that, it’s something we shouldn’t focus on for sake of sanity.

With the lack of information on casualties it’s hard to say if there was an actual bombing done, if it wasn’t a munitions bunker and some bioagent manufacturing facility, it is more likely to have been seized, and I agree that this sounds like a pivotal operation in Mancheck’s changing to Biodefense sometimes afterwards, if this is true.

I don’t have all the fact though (speaking of which, is there anyone out there who could email me at tsukigato@gmail.com with what wheezer’s second message said, or perhaps if too confidential, the method in which to do it myself?), but this sounds likely.
