Comments on “Utah Military?”

1. Contacting Nash was a good plan. He’s around the soldiers posted in the area, so maybe he’ll hear some bit of gossip or hear-say that’s got more truth than what the military is revealing.

   Like Serenity said, whatever you do, don’t try to get past the blockade, chances are they’ve been ordered to shoot first and identify later. Whatever is going on in Piedmont, they’re going to be treating the region like it’s a hostile conflict zone. The last thing that will help your sister is for you to end up dead.

2. I was wondering–what were the people of Piedmont mining or are still mining? I found information saying that uranium deposits in Utah, Colorado and other southwestern states are being reopened due to the rise in demand for uranium. If Piedmont was a uranium-mining town, perhaps this has something to do with the going’s on?

3. I’ve been following these past events and it seems extremely coincidental that you should lose contact with your hometown only to find military is involved. It’s just suspicious.

4. Hi Andrew,
   Writing to Mr Nash is a good idea, but don’t stop there. E-mail him also. Be sure to hint at the context of your letter, such as “I’m from Piedmont”. I am sure he gets hundreds of letters a week but if he has an assistant or two worth anything they will call his attention to yours. I wouldn’t worry about his mail being searched by the government, he is a reporter, not an official. Butcha and I seem to be on the same track about the military surplus stores, you will be amazed at what you can find in them.
   I can tell you Andrew, I live in a part of the country that has been experiencing strange happenings for many years. I have heard of, read about, even thought I saw many peculiar things living in the northern part of Maine as I do. Don’t take this occurance lightly. Something DID happen and it aint nice.

5. Andrew, if you make it to Piedmont and get the “scoop” be sure to post it. The major news networks may not be covering this out of fear, but in the age of the Interweb this story will spread like wildfire. When I first mentioned this to my friends last week nobody had even heard of Piedmont (except one guy who thought it was in Arizona or New Mexico), a but now it seems to be spreading pretty quickly.

   I read recently that this years flu shots didn’t really protect against this years flu and that there were some cases of Bird Flu in Canada. I can’t help but wonder if something likethat is happening.

7. There is only 1 way into that town and you said it your self piedmont use to be a mining town, the only way to get into town is not by going through by road or above by plane. You must go under use the underground mine shafts.

10. Dude… Do you think Nash actually got your letter? Even if he did, the military may have seen it first. Did you send it by email or snail mail? Either way, the military probably wants to talk to you really bad right now!!

11. don’t know if this will help you in you search or not. my buddy works for UDOT and told me something strange is going on down in piedmont. they were scheduled to go down to check out the highway damage in that area starting yesterday, but were for some reason told not to. this normally wouldn’t be a big deal but he says in the 6 years he’s worked there they have never just changed plans last minute. he also informed me that instead of going somewhere around that area like they were planning to do after they were done in piedmont, they have now shifted them to kelton which is pretty far northwest. somethings definately not right here.

13. You lived there your entire life. You have to be inimately familiar with the area. Is there some secret way into Piedmont that they wouldn’t know about? If you go in, you should definatly find a place to have sort of a base of operations, also somewhere they wouldn’t know about or wouldn’t care to look. Best of luck. Hope the family is okay.

15. Keep yourself safe and be smart about this. I have spent many a time as a boyscout preparing myself and knowing the task ahead. If you’re going into a situation like this, you’re going to be best served going at night. Dress in dark clothing, and equal the score by going to one of your local Military Surplus shops in California. You can get your hands on various tools that will assist you. It’s a bit of an investment, but some sort of night vision equipment would be helpful, even if you need to put it on a credit card. Most of all, be always aware of your surroundings. Everyone is right, rope, flares, some sort of weapon to defend yourself, rations, water, it’s all important when prepping yourself for a task like this. I’m telling you, I’ll go with you if you need or want my help. It will take me some time to get to Utah from Maine, but I am willing to lend myself to this sort of situation. E-mail me if you need any sort of assistance at all.

19. I definitely agree to not try the plane approach. Way too dangerous if they are trying to hide something. I really hope that Nash responds. He seems to be the best candidate for getting some answers.

    If they are going to surround a town, as we’ve seen, and then try to .. cover it up (for lack of better terms), there’s gotta be something else going on in there.. I wouldn’t trust the net too much, I’m sure government can easily bend topics to thier will.

21. Just an idea; I would not suggest flying into the Piedmont airspace or the other towns nearby. If this is as serious as it sounds, I imagine the military will not take a break in their airspace very lightly.
    If they have already taken control of this area, they have full control of the airspace and most likely the surrounding areas. Melissa stated in an earlier comment that they will not be able to stop you from flying over; it’s actually quite the opposite. I would say, if they did not shoot you down, they will ‘escort’ you down and that would most likely be the last time we would ever hear from you.
    Just an idea…keep us posted.

22. Im with the others on saying it sounds like a coverup. No information? Sounds suspicious to me.

    Also, that “large-scale flu pandemic” sounds pretty important so dont forget about it. Someone commented on your last post stating that the troops were carrying gas masks (or the equivilent) so Im starting to think that maybe there is serious health risks.

23. Do not. . . I repeat. . . Do not rent a small plane and fly over. If theres something going on that they are hiding they will shoot you down. They guard airspace too.

24. It’s a cover up of some sort. You will probably see those same Apache helicopters flying around Piedmont but they will be black this time. I think there is something going on. Best of luck buddy
